A recreation of the Chebacco boats and the pinky schooners of New England of the early 1800's, Resolution is based in Annapolis, Maryland and sails the waters of the Chesapeake Bay. Resolution is operated by Ship's Company, a maritime living history not-for-profit which provides period-dressed docent support for numerous historical sites and maritime events in the Baltimore/Washington/Annapolis region. Ship's Company members portray circa 1800 Navy and Marines, Civil War Navy and Marines and singing Chanteymen. The Boat Group, established in 1999, is the newest venture. Resolution is a Class C tall ship and combined with historical re-enactors can be engaged for dockside interpretation of circa 1800 (1775-1825) shipboard life and tours within a day or two sail of Annapolis, Maryland. Resolution is supported by Ship's Company's other vessels... Circuitous, a 1937 sloop and Enterprize Jollyboat, a 14-foot recreation of ship's lapstrake. Resolution and her crew can interpret a wide variety of periods. However, her baseline representation is as an 1800 pinky schooner taken up by the early United States Navy, as an armed tender despatch schooner supporting the USS ENTERPRIZE. Ship's Company supports the activities of the National Maritime Heritage Foundation to build and operate a full-scale representation for youth education in Washington, D.C.

Ship's Company and Resolution are members of the American Sail Training Association. This webpage is a slight adaptation of the Resolution entry in their 14th edition (2002) tall ships catalog "Sail Tall Ships," available for $14.95 from Ship's Company, our London Town homeport's gift shop, or ASTA direct.
